Bruce M. McWilliams, Ph.D.

Bruce McWilliams, Ph.D., is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tessera Technologies, a leading provider of miniaturization technologies for the global electronics industry. Since assuming his position as CEO in June of 1999, McWilliams has defined Tessera’s growth and profitability strategy, steering the company from an operating loss to a 65-percent revenue growth rate from 2002 – 2006. By successfully anticipating the future demands of the electronics industry, McWilliams’ is driving Tessera’s development of technologies and solutions that realize the future of consumer, computing and wireless electronics.
McWilliams has more than 20 years of executive and technical management experience in the semiconductor industry. He has held numerous executive management positions, including senior vice president at Flextronics International, a position he assumed upon Flextronics’ successful acquisition of nCHIP, Inc., a multi-chip module packaging company he co-founded and for which he served as CEO and president. McWilliams has also served as president and CEO at S-Vision, a silicon chip-based display company which he co-founded.
McWilliams is a member of the board of directors for Intermolecular, Inc. a molecular engineering electronics company. He is also on the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University. In 2005, he was awarded Ernst & Young’s Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year® award. He holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Michael Bereziuk
Chief Operating Officer

Michael Bereziuk serves as Tessera's Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as Tessera's executive vice president, Product Division of the Company from February 2006 to August 2007. From December 2005 to February 2006, Mr. Bereziuk was a consultant on Operations at Summit Microelectronics, an analog power management solutions company. From November 2001 to February, 2005, he held executive level positions at Zarlink Semiconductor, a communications semiconductor company, including Senior Vice President, Strategic Business Development and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Communications Business Unit. From 1984 to 2000, he held numerous senior positions at National Semiconductor Corporation, including Senior Vice President and General Manager, World-Wide Sales and Marketing, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Personal Systems Group, Vice President and General Manager, Embedded Systems Division, and Vice President and General Manager, Embedded Controller Division. Mr. Bereziuk received a B.S. degree with honors in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.

Charles A. Webster
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Charles A. Webster serves as Tessera's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Before Tessera, Webster was Corporate Vice President, Finance and Treasury of KLA-Tencor Corporation, an S&P 500 company and world leader in yield management and process control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing and related industries. While at KLA-Tencor from July 2002 until August 2006, he was responsible for finance and accounting of all product divisions, corporate financial planning and analysis, treasury and investor relations and previously served as VP of Supply Chain Management and VP of Materials. From 1997 through June 2002, Webster worked for the Bechtel Group and Nexant, Inc. In January 2000, he led the Nexant spin-off from Bechtel and then served as Nexant’s EVP and CFO, where he led four acquisitions and three rounds of financing as well as business development, financial planning and reporting, audit, tax and treasury. From 1993 through 1996, Webster was VP and portfolio manager for Oppenheimer Capital’s global equity investment team. He began his career with Price Waterhouse. Webster has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, and a double major in economics and international relations from Stanford University.

David Tuckerman, Ph.D.

David B. Tuckerman, Ph.D., has served as our Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President since February 2003. From 1998 to 2003 he was a consultant and partner in several venture capital funds for CMEA Ventures. Dr. Tuckerman co-founded nCHIP Inc. and, from 1989 to 1995, served as Chief Technology Officer. From 1996 to 1997, Dr. Tuckerman worked at Flextronics International Ltd. Prior to that, Dr. Tuckerman, managed advanced research and development projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and, before that, worked for International Business Machines at its T.J. Watson Research Center and Cambridge Scientific Center. Dr. Tuckerman received a B.S. in physics and electrical engineering and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Dr. Tuckerman holds 15 United States patents, has authored more than 50 technical publications and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Scot A. Griffin
Senior Vice President and
General Counsel

Scot A. Griffin serves as senior vice president and general counsel. He initially joined Tessera in November 2002 as director of IP. He also served as vice president of IP and Licensing from March 2005 through November 2006. Prior to joining Tessera, Griffin was Group IP counsel for Intel Corporation's Technology and Manufacturing Group. He also served as patent litigator at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, Palo Alto, California, from May 1996 until February 2000, when he joined Intel. Griffin also gained experience as a patent attorney at Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman in Sunnyvale, California.
Griffin holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco. Griffin is also a member of the California Bar and the U.S. Patent Bar.

Liam Goudge
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Liam Goudge is senior vice president of corporate development at Tessera Technologies, Inc., where he leads the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy including mergers and acquisitions. Goudge, who joined Tessera in 2005, has played a critical role in the company’s entry into the consumer optics market through its acquisitions of Shellcase Ltd., Digital Optics Corporation, Eyesquad and FotoNation.
Goudge came to Tessera from ARM Holdings plc, where he was one of the company’s early employees. Throughout an 11-year period he held a variety of roles in licensing, sales, product marketing and business development. Most recently, he served as ARM’s director of worldwide business development, where he was responsible for guiding corporate strategy and development, as well as merger and acquisition activity.
Prior to ARM, Goudge held managerial positions in marketing at Texas Instruments, in both France and England, where he worked on wireless products for the early GSM cellular market.
Goudge holds a bachelor’s with honors in electronic engineering and French from the University of Nottingham, England, and a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the Cambridge College of Marketing.

Steve Chen
Senior Vice President, Business Development and Sales |

Steve Chen joined Tessera as senior vice president of licensing and business development July 2006, bringing more than 20 years of sales experience, primarily with semiconductors. Chen came to Tessera from a micro fuel cell start up Lilliputian Systems, where he managed all marketing, sales, and government activities. Prior to LSI, he spent 11 years at Rambus, where he held several positions in sales, marketing and engineering, his last role being vice president of sales. Chen received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

H. Thomas Blanco
Vice President, Human Resources & Administration |

Tom Blanco joined Tessera as Vice President, Human Resources and Administration in Feb 2006. He brings more than 20 years of executive and human resources management experience to the company. Prior to joining Tessera, Blanco served as vice president of Human Resources & Administration for several technology companies, including Cloudmark and Liquid Audio, where he was responsible for human resources, technical and customer support, facilities and sales operations. Previous experience includes his role as senior director of Human Resources for Sales Operations & International at Aspect Communications, and 14 years service at Bank of America, where he held various positions, including senior vice president of Business Engineering Services.
Blanco holds a B.A. in Spanish/English Literature, and has completed coursework for his MA in Literature, from Queens College of City University of New York.
