Shutter corrects for image distortion and/or blurring when objects are moving, enables dark image subtraction for improved picture quality in low light conditions, as well as enables the use of xenon flash. When an object is moving, the image becomes distorted or blurry even with proper focus. Shutter solves this problem by exposing all portions of the image at the same time.
Tessera’s SF23XS solution achieves this using a MEMS stage to move a piece of silicon in and out of the optical path. This ensures highly repeatable exposure control, resulting in industry-leading optical performance in a small form factor.
- Small form factor
- High optical performance
- Repeatable exposure control
