Flash
Flash memory is non-volatile memory that can store substantial amounts of data when a device is turned off, and is used to record all types of information, such as sound, images and programmed instructions and information. Wireless and portable devices including cellular phones, PDAs, MP3 players and digital cameras all rely on flash memory that meets the size, performance and reliability requirements of these types of small, light-weight devices. Tessera's µBGA® solutions provide a packaging solution for flash memory in these applications. In addition to single-die µBGA®, our stacked µBGA® packaging technology enables multi-die flash applications, as well as the ability to package flash die with other components, such as ASICs and SRAM.
