The FotoNation® DRC solution is dynamic range compression technology that offers easy one-step image enhancement to brighten dark areas of digital images without altering the properly exposed areas.

The FotoNation DRC solution runs in-camera to fix images that are backlit or have areas that are otherwise unevenly exposed. Dark areas are brightened without over-saturating existing highlights, producing attractive final images without complex editing.

The FotoNation DRC solution does not require the user to capture multiple exposures. It is available as embedded software for digital still cameras, cell phones and other camera-enabled devices.
