µBGA® -W Applications
Tessera's wire-bonded µBGA®-W package shares the small size, high-performance and high reliability characteristics of the lead-bonded µBGA® package, but has greater design flexibility to support a broad range of high-performance DRAM applications, including DDR SDRAM (Double Data Rate, Synchronous DRAM) and RDRAM (Rambus DRAM). High performance DRAM is used in numerous wireless, portable, computing networking and home entertainment products where speed and in many instances size, are priorities. Wireless and portable examples include cell phones, PDAs and MP3 players. Computing, networking and home entertainment examples include personal computers, workstations, servers, and set top boxes, HDTV and 3-D game consoles.
